True being changed to TRUE centre aligned (Excel 97/SR2)

Whenever i type"True" and hit enter the text is changed to "TRUE" with centre alignment. I know i can hit a space after the woird and the text stats as "True" but I wondered what is changing the text. It is not in my Auto Correct list.
Is this a bug or a feature. How do i keep True as True not TRUE <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>[pollstart][polltitle=Name of your poll]

When you type "True", Excel is interpreting that as the boolean value True. There are two ways to keep Excel from doing that. If you format the cell as Text before typing, it should stay as a text value. The second way is to type a single quote in front of the text. If you do that, Excel will not display the quote and will treat what is after it as text.

    There's a third way --
    ="True"
