    Alternate Addresses (OE 6)

When sending an email to an alternate (non-default) address in the address book, what is the simplest way to select that address?

    Type it in?

Seriously, Chuck, I don't think I understand what you are trying to do. If you have a second non-default adddress in your book, listed on a separate line, just select that one instead of the primary default one.
Listing A = John Smith primary address.
Listing B = John Smith secondary address.

    Re: Alternate Addresses (OE 6)

Hi, I guess I wasn't very clear. Perhaps it will become more clear in comparison with Outlook.

In both cases I have more than one email address in the contact list (or address book in the case of Outlook Express).

When I create a new message in Outlook and go to select an addresse by clicking on "TO" it opens my contact list and displays separate entries for each of the multiple email addresses under one person permitting me to pick one other than the default.

When I do the same thing in Outlook Express it only displays the default email address.

    Am I missing something here?

    Chuck,
Can't help much here. I guess that's one of the differences between Outlook and Outlook Express?
I use OE and don't see any way to display both the default and secondary address as a choice.
( beyond listing them separately )

    Hi Bob,

Yea! Kind of makes you wonder why they bother permitting alternate addresses if it's so difficult to use them.
