    Labels (Avery) (Word 2003)

When creating labels (Avery) from "Tools...Letters and Mailings...Envelopes and Labels", select my avery label and click New Document, there is blank sheet after my first page. Some people get the blank sheet and some people don't. After I go into Print Preview and close out of print preview, it disappears. It's a nuisance because (unless I go into print preview) everytime I go to the printer, it always asks me to feed another page of labels. Is there anyway to remove the empty page? Why does it do this? I have replaced out my normal.dot and it does not work. Any help would be much appreciated.

The problem with a blank page is well-known. In fact, I don't understand how the blank page can disappear after a print preview.

See the thread starting at <post:=590,707>post 590,707</post:> for an explanation and for various solutions/workarounds.

Thanks for the thread. Is it possible to resolve the issue through vba?

You could create a macro that sets the font size of the last paragraph to 1 point, but that would hardly be a time-saver, wouldn't it?
What did you have in mind?

Well not sure exactly. The thought was passed to me from my co-worker and wanted to see if anyone had done it through vba. It's really weird but if I do go into print preview and close out, it goes away OR click in the footer and get out, it goes away. Are these templates? If so, where are they located? Thanks so much for your help.

As far as I know, labels are created on the fly by Word, using internal code we cannot view or change. They are not based on a specific template.
