    E-Mail Printing (Outlook 2003)

I have a client who has strange text print out at the top of each e-mail she prints. None of the other 50 people on their Exchange Server have this problem.

    The text is:
    /O=DOMAIN/OU=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=USERNAME

Text is bold and appears at the very top of the printout. Any idea how to prevent this?

    Thanks,
    Craig.

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by JohnBF on 16-Aug-06 13:22. )</P>If the other 50 people usually have their Global Address List "Display As" name print at the same location on the header of each email, it's a server policy setting. Perhaps the user had a name change, or some other server related change? It's a crude fix, but you might try deleting and recreating his/her email Profile.

That's an X.400 style address. Let the Exchange admin check whether an SMTP address has been defined for this user.

Good point. I was taking it literally that the printed string actually says "...USERNAME"

Let's see what Craig reports. If the string he mentioned is printed literally, that would be very strange.

    Thanks John & Hans:

I probably should have been clearer in my post. The user's domain name is where I typed "DOMAIN" and the user's username is where I typed "USERNAME." Also, this text string prints at the very top of the printout, above the typical header. You can't see the string if you open the e-mail, only if you print it.

I passed your posts along to the Exchange admin, we'll see tomorrow if the X.400/SMTP or profile fixed the problem.

Personally, if it were my computer, I could live with the strange text string!

    Thanks, again.
    Craig.
