Prevent IE window from activating (6)

While I am searching for pictures using a picture search engine, I am browsing other pages in other windows. I may have 2-4 windows open at any one time. While I am viewing info in one window, the picture search engine keeps activating its window causing me to have to switch back to the page I was reading continually. Is this window activation part of the site I am browsing, or is it a feature I can switch off in the settings of IE?
    Tx

    Rudi

    I suspect it's a feature <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15> of the picture search engine you are using.

No, I'm just ribbing you. What's called a bug by some is called a feature by others; the 'grin' smiley next to the word 'feature' was meant ironically.

You can try using TweakUI to prevent an application from stealing focus. See the General | Focus setting.

    Poor Hans!

    He tries to insert a little humor into a post and gets questioned. <img src=/S/angel.gif border=0 alt=angel width=15 height=21> <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15>

    Sometimes you are the bug, sometimes the windshield. <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
