Animating tables in powerpoint (MS Powerpoint 2002)

is it possible to seperate the elements of a table so that you can animate each cell individually? I want to fly in each cell separately on a slide show and cannot find a way to do this as powerpoint seems to treat the table as one object. Help!

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

As you have found, a table is a single object. So in order to animate individual cells, you must ungroup it:
    - First, set up the table the way you want; once you ungroup, it's much more work to change the layout.
    - Click the outer border of the table to select it.
    - Click the Drawing button on the Drawing toolbar, then Ungroup.
    - You can also right-click the gray border and select Ungroup from the popup menu.
    - Confirm that you want to convert the table to PowerPoint drawing objects.
    - You can now select individual cells and apply custom animation.
