Deleteing text of a certain color (2003)

    Hello all,
I have a rather large Word document that contains various text colors. I need to delete all text of a specific colour. Is this possible to do using the Find and Replace function? If not, are there any alternatives?

    Thanks.

You can use Find and Replace:
    - Select Edit | Replace.
    - Leave both the 'Find what' and 'Replace with' boxes blank.
    - Click More.
    - Make sure the 'Find what' box is active, then click the Format dropdown and select Font...
    - Select the color for which you want to remove all text.
    - Click 'Replace All'.

Open the Find and Replace dialog (CTRL-H). Click the More button if needed to see the Format button. Click in the Find What box, to make sure it has the focus, then Click the Format button. Select Font... Find the color you want in the Color box. Click OK. You should have the color showing as Format :<color> in the Find What box and nothing in the Replace with. You can use the Find next, Replace, and Replace all buttons now. It is always best to use the Find Next and Replace for the first few replacements before using the Replace All. If all else fails, use the Undo.
