    Document Autonaming (Word 2000 SR1)

My client is a legal clerk. They have a very intensive use of Word 2000 and a unique file naming convention for their documents. It's based on a numeric name or rather a case file identifier, alpha/numeric.

    For Example:
    ADS42-6548, ADS42-6549, etc.
    956421, 956422, etc.

What they desire is a template that allows the generation of the next file name, in sequence, automatically to the document when it is saved.

In addition, they'd like this filename to appear in the footer as well. They they intend to create templates for all of their common procedural documentation.

Thanx in advance for your commentary.
