Merging 3 tables to create one (2000)

    Hi,

I need to merge 3 tables to create one table and would like to know the easisst
    way to do this.
I know the append command can be used to add data to to tables but l tried this and could only
get it to be used for two tables to be mergesd and not three, see attatcment.
The reason for the error is the field names are the same.
Is there a way a round this problem?

The field names of the table need to remain the same.

Once l used the append command l then used the create table command to create a table
from the query. Is this the only way one of creating a table from merging 3 tables?

If this is not possible is there an alternative easier method of merging 3 tables to
    create one table?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Why not a union query?

You don't need a query if this is a 'once-off' event.

Open the source table select all the records (Edit Select all records) then Copy (Edit copy)
Now open the destination table and go "Edit...Paste Append".

This method assumes that the field names are the same!

The reason for the error with your query is that you have tried to append two tables at the same time.

Using append queries you need to do it twice: once for table2 and another for table3.
