    Formatting flash memory (XP SP2)

When trying to copy files to my PNY flash memory drive I frequently get an error - "I/O Error writing to device". Can I reformat this"drive" like any other drive? It is now FAT 32. Would NTFS be better?

I don't see why you can't format it.
I would prefer NTFS but you can use FAT32 if you wish.

A good set of instructions for the procedure is at FORMAT

    Thanks Bob,
My flash drive is now working properly. Good link to NTFS formatting.
