    Opening Excel Via Outlook (2000)

Situation: Whenever I receive an Excel spreadsheet in an Outlook message, I must minimize the message before the Excel toolbar will work. Any solutions?
    Thanks.

Are you receiving the spreadsheet as an attachment and opening it directly from the e-mail message? If so, try saving the attachment to disk and opening the saved version.

    Hans,
I am receiving it as an attachment, and as long as I minimize (but not necessarily close) the original message, the file will open and the toolbar works fine; if I don't minimize the message, the Excel file will open ok, but the toolbar just won't work!
    Thanks..

Try the workaround I suggested: save the attachment (File | Save Attachments... or drag the attachment from the e-mail to a folder in Windows Explorer), and open the saved version instead of opening the attachment directly.
