    Conditional Formulas (Excel 2003)

I am wondering if there is a way to write a formula that will look at 2 columns of data, the first nominal and the second column is numbers and based upon a condition met or a value found in the first column then add the number from the second column of data?

    Thanks. Any help much appreciated.

Yes, but you will need to give a much better description of what you want to do before we can help with formula:

    1- What are the columns?

2- What is the condition met or the value found? That's two conditions, which do you want or do you want both to be met?

3- What is to be done if the condition is not met or the value is not found?

4- What is to be done if the condition is not met and/or the value is not found?

Attaching a workbook with an example showing what you want to do using dummy data would be a big help.

Thanks. I have actually attached a file that illustrates what I am talking about. I want a formula that sum the R, O, V, S, H values each.
