    Can't update fields (Access 2003)

I have 2 tables, one with date and report number, the 2nd with report number and activities from the report. I would like a query with report items from a certain time period so I can add extra information. I have set the relationship between the tables 1 to many. Field sizes are the same (report number/text, 10char), but it will not let me enter data in the query. What else do I need to do?

Your query is obviously non-updatable. Since there a several situations that can cause this, it is hard to be more specific. I'd have to see the query.

You could create a form based on the first table, with a subform based on the second table, linked to the main form by the report number field.
