This File Is Not A Recognizable Format (03)

I recently sent an Excel file to Japan. From what I can tell the file that I sent was a valid working Excel file. When the file was opened by the receipent the message "This file is not a recongnizable format" appears. Could this possibaly have something to do with the Japanese Character set of the keyboard? Perhaps something else? Operating System?

    Your thoughts are appreciated.

Sounds as if the file got corrupted during send. Japanese Excel should be able to read your file without a glitch.
