Audio / CD software

Arghh!
I've been talked into compiling an audio CD for someone's wedding on Saturday.
I need/want to be able to 'merge' three CD tracks so they appear as one, and fade in and out part of a CD track.

Can anyone recommend some easy to learn software that I can ideally download?
(W2K or W98SE)

Fade In/Fade Out support is under Recorder Settings|Advanced Special Effects.

PS: My personal experience is with the registered Plus version, but the freeware version should have the basic features you need.

I registered this almost 3 years ago and have never been sorry. There is a good chance that the next major update will support the new MP3Pro format.

Just looked at your requirements again. You will probably need <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.ideasystem.com.pl/mp3/butcher/>MP3 Butcher</A> as well. The interface is a little strange but the function provided is spot-on.

IMHO the best music software site on the net is <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.hitsquad.com>http://www.hitsquad.com</A>. If it ain't there it doesn't exist.

I ended up using as it was the first I came across to give me what I needed. The link to <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.hitsquad.com/>HitSquad given above gives you a tremendous choice (almost too many!) and would be very useful for anyone looking for audio software.

Hi Lief:

Just looked at Cool Edit. I had not used it before, but, I think it's going to be part of my tool kit.

I still recommend the registered version of MMJB for it's general features plus excellent ripper (CD -> MP3) and bundled CD authoring/burning tools.

Have you looked at GoldWave? I don't do much but I've always prefered it over CoolEdit.
