BBC Radio Player (IE7)

Hi

I am trying out Internet Explorer 7 the latest version, but I cannot get the Radio Player to open on www.bbc.co.uk/radio.
I have tried user agent string utility with no luck.

any ideas please

Can you get it to work with any other browser?

I'm running IE7 RC1 and don't have a problem with it. Have you clear your TIF? You might try downloading IE7 again then uninstalling and reinstalling.

Re: BBC Radio Player (IE7)

If this requires the , or even paid-for, version of Real Player/Real One Player (or whatever it/the firm is currently named), then you might try seeing if the Real Alternative will work in IE7 instead.

My only gripe with it (really a Media Player Classic gripe) is that moving the time slider sometimes causes the sound to disappear, and you have to Goto a slightly different time to get it back. Otherwise, no problems. I use it (I think!) for listening again to Radio 3, Radio 4 and the BBC comedy radio channel BBC7, but via Firefox (of course)...

Hi Joe

I am sure I am correct in saying you do not get a choice on this site, if realplayer is not installed it will ask you to install it, rather than just opening it with WMP.

Re: BBC Radio Player (IE7)

I was just up there for the first time and I had to choose between WMP and Real Player as the default and I choose WMP and all works fine on my copy of IE 7 RC1.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Hi Dave

This is what is says in the help.
To use the BBC Radio Player you will need to have a program called RealPlayer installed on your computer. Download it for free by clicking below:
