    e mail automation (2000)

    Hello I have a dataabse that holds details of customer referrals and is used for MI to monitor quality given to the customer. Currently emails questionnaires are sent to a sample of customers with the email stripping detail from the database. The sending of the email is a manaul process, how can I set a piece of code that triggers a random sample without manaul need? for isntnace, on every 100th entry to the database my email (code works fine in terms of what it says - have no problem with this).

    Many thanks Darren.

    Thanks Darren.

    Access doesn't have triggers or event procedures at the table level, so you'll have to do this in a form, for example in the After Insert event. if you have an AutoNumber field set to Increment, you can check the value of this field; otherwise you could count the number of records. For example with an AutoNumber field ID:

    Private Sub Form_AfterInsert()
    If Me.ID Mod 100 = 0 Then
    ' insert code to send e-mail here
    ...
    End If
    End Sub
