Hi
I am trying to find a piece of user-friendly software that will allow me to monitor how much I am downloading each month. I am concerned that I may go over my limit. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

This sounds very similar to a recent thread. You might have to go through many posts to find what you're looking for: Log download data
been using this (Netmeter) for 3 yrs with no problems and shows daily/weekly/monthly usage amongst other things http://readerror.gmxhome.de/
Thanks Jeff. I have just installed this. It is definately user-friendly. I will see how it goes...

I too installed it just to see what's available. I think it looks very similar to the product I mentioned in the thread which Jefferson referenced, DU Meter Home Page. The menu screens and even the tray icon look very similar. I didn't do any digging to see if there's a connection with the authors. Let us know what you think as time passes.
Correct. As I remember when I first went looking for a monitor Netmeter and DU Meter were very similar except that Netmeter <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and Du Meter wasn't.
WatchWAN makes much of its being far more accurate than NetMonitor or DU Meter. I can only report that I have been running a custom solution - feeding off a counter log - for 2+ years. The Log monitors bytes per second w/ the CSV being aggregated (using Microsoft Access). WatchWAN (using the recommended filter) produces almost exactly the same data - albeit ~0.5Mb per day (in total) higher.
I shifted to the custom solution because all the freeware I then came across (other than PRTG) produced bizarre-looking numbers. Trying to set up a long term archive with PRTG data tended to be a bit of a bear. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it.
