    Thanks Dennis, that "reads well" and I don't recall if it's ever been mentioned here in The Lounge. Have you tried it out yet?

    I've used version 2.1 for several months and have no problems. It seems to give me the information I need.

    John,

    I recall reading a review of Process Explorer that claimed it was the "most powerful" of such utilities, but I don't know in what sense it is the "most powerful." I've had no experience with Process Explorer, though.

    What's Running is also a startup manager and port enumerator, and one can get those additional functions by just switching tabs. Version 2.2 also allows one to jump from an autostart entry to the running processes created by that entry.
