    Scanner power supply

I'm on the hunt for a substitute power supply, rated at 16V DC, 900mA. It's for an Agfa SpapScan 1212u. Agfa.com - Support scanners and digital cameras and digital cameras curtly informs me that they don't support any of their products any more! Any thoughts on what might be suitable?

    Re: Scanner power supply

16V is not a common voltage for an of-the-shelf solution, but you may find something from Batteries Plus who seem to be on your side of the globe.

I would hazard a guess that the 16V isn't critical - it may well be internally regulated down to 12V - so you could possibly get away with a 15V PSU. If you have access to a variable PSU, I'd be tempted to see what you can get away with..

Edited by IMNetUser - Forgot 16V referenced link - added

Checkout http://www.powerstream.com/ - they ship just about anywhere and have oddball power supplies. They has also made a couple of custom power supplies for a friend - can not vouch for price on custom PS though.

OOPS - Forgot to include 16V Power Supply Index.
