Unable to display folder (Outlook 2000)

I have a user who can see all folders under "outlook today" apart from his inbox, when he tries to open his inbox it says "unable to open folder". It has just happened now for no apparent reson. He is connected to the server as he can see sent items, calendar etc. Please help.

I think you first need to determine if the problem is on the client or the server. Try setting up a profile for this account on a different PC to see if you still have the problem. If this works ok, then the problems on the client. I'd try setting up a different profile on the problem PC. You might also try to reconfigure mail services under Tools | Options | Mail Services Tab.

If the problem still exists on the test PC then it's likely a server-side problem. There are lots of possibilities here. We bypass them all and just make a new account for the user.
