    Contains (03)

I'm new to Access and was wondering if it is possible to create a query that uses a condition to test if a field contains text such as "PETR" in any part of the field.

    Thanks,
    Jhon

    You've created a query before?

In the first criteria line, below the field to be tested, enter:

    Like *PETR*

    Note: include the asterisks

    See attached example.

If problems persist, might you include a small excerpt from your DB?

    Re: Contains (03)

Prior to my post that is what I have done. Unfortunately it returns a blank record. I saved the query so that is not the challenge.
