Reading Pane Font Size (Outlook 2003 SP2)

Is there any way to change the font size of the just the reading pane? Have an end user who doesn't want to change "everything" by changing resolution on the PC. His primary issue is with the font size of the Reading Pane.

For Plain Text format messages, using Ctrl+Scroll Wheel will enlarge or shrink the text. I'd get tired of doing it every time... the other option is to set a larger font in the Outlook options dialog:

Tools > Options..., Mail Format tab, Fonts... button, "When composing and reading plain text"

(Note: change the selected message in the Inbox to refresh the reading pane before concluding that this has no effect.)

For HTML format messages, the sizes appear to be set by the message itself and/or by Internet Explorer settings.

When is a feature not a feature <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>. Supposedly you can accomplish this by right-clicking in the tiny gray area
surrounding the reading pane window and choosing 'text size' but...you guessed it...it does nothing. Not much help but an interesting insight into oversights. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

I think it might depend on the format of the e-mail. I just tried it on a couple. A plain text e-mail did not allow it but an html e-mail did. And it only applies to that one e-mail.

    Thanks Joe, you were more thorough in testing than I was. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
