    General Questions (MS 2003)

    ok when i saved a form, table, query or record do i have to save like this (frmwelcome, tblcustomermaster, qrycustomeraddresses, and rcdseptemberperformace.) or can i just save like this: in table - Customer Master, in query - Customer Address, in form - Welcome and in record - September Performance? can i do either one or do i have to save those in a certain ways??? thx

    There are two parts to the answer:

    For Records you don't give the record a name at all. Access just saves the record.

    For everything else tables, queries, forms, reports etc you can call them anything you like (just about) but it is good practice to follow a naming convention., such as the one you mentioned.
    Coding is far easier if you do not put spaces in the names, and if the name always tells you what type of thing you are dealing with.
