Default suggested name (Word 2000 v9.0.....)

Word suggests a name for file, based on the first word or words it finds, or remembering the first name the file gets given.

But when the file has been amended, so those first words are no longer there, or it's been renamed., Word remembers the old first words and still suggests them. I've worked around this in the past by opening a blank file, calling it what I want it to be called then doing Insert:File. But the file I am working has various graphics adn won't let me do this becuase the end product is a mess.

Is there a way of amending the original default name?
