    Video (6.0/sp2)

I'm trying to play news videos from the Yahoo website. My default video player is Windows Media Player. All I get is a blank window.

Can you play a video already on your PC? Have you changed any firewall settings? In Internet Options | Advanced | Multimedia section is 'Play animations in webpages' checked?

When I launched the video link, it didn't offer a choice of players.

I just did, but it isn't clear how to select one. If I did set it at some previous time, how can I check this?

Did you follow the instructions at Feedback - Yahoo! News to configure IE6 correctly for Yahoo News?

Do you have a LCD screen and can you hear the music/sound from the video?

Yes, but I couldn't find the cookies item from the following list:

Configure the six categories by following the directions below:
Active X Controls and Plug-ins - Enable Download signed ActiveX, Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins, and Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.
Cookies - Enable both options in this category.
    Downloads - Enable File Download.
Miscellaneous - Set Software Channel to Medium.
Scripting - Enable all options in this category.
    Skip the last category.

I don't know if it is an LCD, but for the Yahoo videos, I only get a blank window. For other videos, for example an attached email, I get normal sound and picture.

See the Video and Audio links on the BBC News website, or try Google Video or even You Tube...

Google and YouTube videos function normally. Any other ideas Yahoo News videos don't work for me?
