    Stopping an app hanging (VB6)

My app uses recordsets quite alot and therefore has times when it hangs. The app draw event stops working, it can't be moved/resized and returns Not Responding in task manager.

Currently i'm using DoEvents to make it work properly, however, this also means that the user can still click other things in the app.

Is there another command I should be using, or something else I'm not doing or would I need to programming all my click events to read a variable so they dont work when a recordset is being processed?

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Regards,

You could use the Refesh method of the form in loops that cycle through the records of a recordset to force the form to be redrawn.

    Thanks Hans.

The reason I asked is that i'm writing a new app and wanted to improve all the bits that I don't like in my last one, so i'll add your suggestion in and test it when I add the bits in that take ages.
