    Places Bar (Office 2000)

I am just reading a web document that MS has out on the new features and improvements in the Office 2000 suite from the Office 97 suite.

In the document it mentions a Places Bar but I have no idea what that means. There is no picture or mention of a location so I am lost. Further, the MS search area of their website seems to be down, currently.

    Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

So, then, is the Places Bar the column along the left that has links to History, My Documents, etc. ?

I just wasn't sure what the "Places Bar" was and where it was located.

Thank you. You always seem to be able to answer my questions...much gratitude!

Do you have winme or win2k? it's the little bar in the open and save dialog that looks like the outlook bar.

    there is a picture of it <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.poremsky.com/places_bar.htm> here</A>

Thank you, Mary. That was what I thought it was. I am at work on an WinNT machine. I just used the Open dialogue box and noticed the bar along the side. Thanks, again.
