    multiple virus / spyware packages

After a recent virus attack - I am running multiple packages concurrently
    Zone Alarm Pro
    Spyware Doctor
    AVG Free Edition
    Startup Cop

On Demand I have several packages that I run
    Spyware Blaster
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Registry Cleaner Retail
Wintasks ( really saved my bacon - gives much more control than Task Manager)

There are probably more, but these are the major tools I use. It dawns on me that there is a potential for "Spats between tools" and I am wondering if there is a known set of tools that do fight with each other and combinations of tools that should be avoided?

    Thanks

It seems as though the tools you are running should not conflict. Generally, you do not want more than one of the same type of tool running real time checkes - such as two firewalls, two a/v programs etc. Tools that run on demand are usually OK. Sometimes, different spyware tools will identify things as a problem that others do not. Many times this is just fine and is indeed a reason many people recommend running more than one on demand scanner. However, you do need to be diligent in checking things before allowing any tool to remove something from your system.

You appear to have a solid protection setup in place. The only change that I would suggest is that when Spyware Doctor comes up for renewal, repalce it with Webroot's Spy Sweeper, or just add Spy Sweeper now. There's a review here.
