Re dock my Project Explorer (XP)

This is one of those minor irritants that has an impact on my work. One day I was probably being a little over exuberant with my mousing and I undocked my Project Explorer and when I redocked it, it decided to dock across the top of my Editor. I don't like it there, preferring itto be on the left hand side of the screen like Explorer. For the life of me, can I get it to go where I want it....what is the secret

Try the following:
- Close all other windows (including the Properties and Immediate window)
- Drag the title bar of the Project Explorer until it undocks.
- Drag the title bar of the Project Explorer to the left hand side of the VBE window until it docks.
- It should now take up the entire left side of the window.
- Make the Properties and Immediate window visible again.
- If they are where you want them, you're done.
- If the Properties window is now docked to the left or right of the Project Explorer, drag it by its title bar to the bottom of the Project Explorer window.

Good luck!

Thanks, you are a life saver, I realised that I wasn't dragging the undocked Project Explorer enough tothe left and dragged it over until it was almost completely off the screen.

I needed this as I am creating lesson exercises and need the screen dumps to be the same as the students layout otherwise there will be confusion

I don't think this is your problem, but it might help someone else who may search later.

I had a problem with docking the project explorer, that took me a while to find. I literally had "undocked" the pane and could get it to "re-dock". I don't know what I did to "undock them" but under
tools - options
Docking (tab)

There are checkboxes for the dockable panes and project explorer had become unchecked so no matter where I placed it it would not dock. Once I checked it, it worked as before...
