    Deleting STUBBORN Files (WinXP SP-2)

I have files on a backup drive of my "C" drive. The ones that would be in the "Temporary Internet Files" will NOT delete.

I've run error-checking; I've made sure the attributes are all -RHS.

I get a message that it can't find the file(s).

So how, short of formatting the drive, can I get rid of these?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

A tried and tested little application by a number of precious metal Loungers is Unlocker. I have used a number of times to great effect. See <!post=Unlocker Application,577692>Unlocker Application<!/post> and surrounding messages

I'll leave you to decide but once I deleted my troublesome files, I uninstall the application and reinstall when I need it again. I only do this as it gets a bit annoying when it "reports" some very uninteresting event <img src=/S/snore.gif border=0 alt=snore width=32 height=15>
