Validation lists (Win XP, Office2003, Excel)

    Hi,

    Hopefully an easy one...

How is it that I turn on the validation list "drop-down button", so that it is visible all the time - even when the cell is not selected...?

(I have a vague idea of having done this before, but don't quite remmeber where or what setting I might have changed)

I'm sorry, that can't be done. The dropdown arrow is only displayed when the cell is the active cell.

If you need this for only a few cells, you could place combo boxes from either the Forms or the Control Toolbox toolbar over the cells.

    OK - thanks,

(must have been an "out-of-memory" wishful thinking thing then) / ;o)
