    Update a field monthly (2003)

I have a database tracking dance students. Every month the students pay a tuition. It rarely changes, but it might. Is there a way to quickly/automatically add a record every month for each student for the new month's tuition? What I'd like to do is save the administrator from having to enter the same number every month for each of the 200 students. Thanks!

You could create an append query to do this, and execute this query either from an AutoExec macro (this macro us run automatically when the database opens), or from the On Open or On Load event of the startup form of the database. The structure of the query depends on what information you want to add.

Ok. Thanks. As I think about it, I don't think I want it to run automatically - just in case there is some reason they don't want to update the records. So, I guess in that case I would make an append query that she (the administrator) runs when she is ready to charge the new month's tuition. I'll try that. Thanks!
