    Select bullets text which is seen as Normal (Word 2003)

    Hi,

    I have a large doc which I downloaded from the web. The doc looks like the one in the attachment. I want to create a table of contents from it so I need to select all the bulleted headings and add a heading style to it. As the doc is very long, I would like to know if there is a quick way to select the bulleted headings to convert them to a style. Using the task pane (Styles and Formatting) is not working as the text is all the same formatting. There is not distinguishing between the bullets and the font.

    Any ideas??

    If there are no other bulleted or numbered paragraphs, you can use this simple macro:

    Sub ApplyHeading()
    Dim par As Paragraph
    For Each par In ActiveDocument.ListParagraphs
    par.Style = wdStyleHeading1
    Next par
    End Sub

    That worked well. Tx

    TX for this line > For Each par In ActiveDocument.ListParagraphs. I read up in VBA help that this identifies a Numbered or Bulleted paragraph. This is nice to know!
