    Windowssystem/temporary files

    Does anyone know of a simple document (or 2 or a few) that explains how Windows establishes and maintains its files in Cookies, Temporary Internet Files, Desktop, History, Temporary directories, particularly when Profiles are set-up.

    I have not seen a single "brief" document that covers all these topics, however, there are two good references.

    1)Woody's Mother of All Windows 98 book, and

    2)<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=free&Number=15520>Xteq X-Setup</A>. If you use this to browse the various settings, you will get a very good idea of where and why Windows establishes it's various internal files.
