Opinions or Thoughts On PCPitstop

I'm interested in getting opinions about the PC Pitstop Optimize online scan.

Does it do what it is advertised to do ??? Is it safe ???

I doubt it makes much difference, or that it is better than similar free tools. (Note: The "ad code" in the URL is not necessary to access the site and might be personally identifying if it was from a junk email.)

Thanks for the input Jefferson. That's kinda what I thought and it turns out that only the scan is free. If you wnt to act on the results of the scan, you have to buy the program.

The address was where the link in the latest edition of Office Watch (Office Watch #11.40) took me. So, I'd suspect it's safe and perhaps a bit of revenue for the newsletter if they get credit for each time that link is hit.

Doc,
i haven't used the PCPitstop Optimize scan but I HAVE used the free online PCPitstop full system scan any number of times. It will run your system through a number of performance tests and suggest what might be done to improve system performance. It doesn't use the "optimze' software that your link points to but it does require that you register to continue.
I have found that it does suggest some worthwhile changes you can make "on your own". Give it a check at:
SYSTEMSCAN

Over on the left side is a list of tests you can make.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
Today it is called golf!
