    Firefox and QuickTime (Firefox 2b2)

When I try to load pages that have QuickTime associated files embedded, I get a message that I need a QT plugin... but I already have QuickTime installed.

Is there something special I need to do to get the association recognized?

    Regards,

Hopefully the Quicktime Guide for Windows from the Mozillazine forums will help.

(You may want to install Firefox 2 Release Candidate 2, there have been quite a few bug fixes since beta 2)

Re: Firefox and QuickTime (Firefox 2b2)

    Tony:

I'm running (now) RC2 of Firefox, and I read through an re-installed QuickTime. Nada.

When I look at aboutlugins, the *one* showing as not enabled is the Browser plugin, with a reference to the file npnul32.dll.

All works fine in IE, so it's (obviously) something in the FF link, but darned if I know what.
