    chr(182) - in comment? (excel 2002)

    Hi all,

I'm loading all comment text into a listbox control on a form with additem within a loop from an array.
I want to be able remove items from the listbox which I have done. The problem is, I am getting a chr(182) character within the listbox when I reload the listbox with the comment items.

I'm not sure why this happening, but would like to understand why?

    Thanks,
    Darryl.

Could you load an example file which does this?

There is a line feed in the comment of cell A1.

Your code doesn't make much sense. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

How do you know there is a line feed in comment A1?

How do I delete the line feed?

    Thanks

Right-click the cell and select Edit Comment from the popup menu. You'll see that the comment contains a second empty line. You can delete it using Backspace while in the second line, or by clicking at the end of the first line and pressing Delete.

    Re: chr(182) - in comment? (excel 2002)

    So I understand,

When generating a comment, does excel automatically generate the line feed, or is it something that I have generated while inputting cell comments?

    Thanks,
    Darryl.

Nornally, when you insert a comment, the first line contains your name, and the second blank line is for you to fill in.
