Hammer of Thor

(Edited by jscher2000 on 08-Oct-06 11:45. Too-wide screen shot trimmed.)
A few times recently my pc has crashed. When I attempt to restart it I get the dialogue box stating that Hammer of Thor is not responding.

Has anyone heard of this programme? Should I be worried?

Regards

Graeme

It sounds like a game, but it could be something dicey. Have you Googled it?

Re: Hammer of Thor

Hi there from what I see on some of the web forums it is part of Office XP's Speech recognition software or hand writing software.

Thor's Hammer is made by triCerat Software and is part of the Windows Terminal Server and Citrix MetaFrame systems

Hammer of Thor
4 oz vodka
5 oz cranberry juice
3 oz lager

Stir ingredients together in a highball glass, and serve.

Seriously, take a look here. Scroll down the page.... do not click on the "View Solution" button.

Re: Hammer of Thor

Thanks gents

A good thing then, well that's a relief!

I've had the pc since 2001 and ctfmon.exe has always been there but I've never seen Hammer of Thor before.

Trouble is, now I have another problem, why can't I click the View Solution button? I really want to click it! Intrigue is getting the better of me, I don't think I can hold back............... I'm going to press it.....................Heeeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeee......................... Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggg!!!!!!

Re: Hammer of Thor

I believe the site requires you to register to see the solutions. Once you have clicked on the 'View Solution' link, you can not see it again unless you register. If you don't click the link, the solution is found at the very bottom of the page, after all the adverts.

(I suspect you can also circumvent this restriction by refusing cookies, as this is where the info that you had already viewed the solution may be stored.)

Doc,
That doesn't sound bad at all but I prefer my "Dark and Stormy's".

That was one of the items that came up in the Google search. Never heard of that one before. But maybe that's because my beverages of choice, depending on the circumstances, are Molson Golden, Chardonnay (Kendall Jackson for everyday) and Hennessy XO or Paradis Extra.

Doc,
Just to clarify what a Dark & Stormy really is: ( BTW, the ginger beer must also be Bermuda Ginger beer )

Bob,

Did you get lost in a couple Dark & Stormy's the past couple weeks ???

Seriously, thanks for the recipe. I'll have to order one the next time I'm in a classy establishment that should have a bottle of Gosling's Black Seal behind the bar.

We Bundy-on in Oz. Same recipe but using Bundaburg Rum and their ginger beer. [hic!]
