    Lost Password (Excel VBA 97)

Ok, it's happened. I protected a macro with a password and now, wanting to edit the macro, cannot remember the password. Am I doomed?

Can anyone recommend any commercially available, or freeware, software? Thanks.

There are password crackers available for a price from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.lostpassword.com/>Lostpassword.com</A>. I don't know how effective a solution it might be, but is probably dependant on the complexity of the actual password.

Download the freeware VBAKEY by Pathologist here:
    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.password-crackers.com/crack1.html>http://www.password-crackers.com/crack1.html</A>

You will see that it takes 34 lines of code to break Microsoft's security of Excel 97 /VBA.

If you need to protect your code, consider making a DLL using the Microsoft (...) Software Developer Kit.
