drop-down field with autotext ability? (Word 2000 or Office 2004)
I am trying to create a form that will allow the user to select a autotext word from a drop-down field and expand after selecting it. Is that possible or is there a better way? We have several different categories that have many blocks of information under each. Another thought is to control what is selected in each field as autotext because the list will be quite large to select from without it. Maybe using this in Word and bringing the text in from Excel?? (need the correct formatting in the Word document) I don't have MS Access.
Thanks for your consideration!!

Welcome to Woody's Lounge!
I think the AutoTextList field will do what you want - see How to add pop-up lists to any Word document, so you can click your way through changes in seconds on the Word MVP site, and Add pop-up lists to your Word documents on the Microsoft site.
