    Thunderbird (Latest)

Can anyone tell me what to enter in TB for "Name of your incoming server (eg 'mail.example.net')"? I have been told to use "http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp", which TB will not accept (presumably not even the right format).

If Thunderbird has the ability to access a Hotmail account -- and I have no idea whether it does or not -- you're right: that is not the correct format for a mail server name. You might Google around for specific Thunderbird <==> Hotmail advice, if Microsoft did not provide you with an actual POP or IMAP server address.

Thanks for your help - am just setting up an account temporarily for a friend - hence lack of actual server address.
