    Hide Personal folders? (2003)

    Hi,

We are experimenting with Imap for storing the e-mail on the server as apposed to in pst files on the server, also so that e-mails can be access from a web interface on the server program we use.

On the section to the left hand side we have Mail, and two groups, one called 'Personal Folder' and one '172.16.168.5' which is the imap connection. Is there a way that we can hide the 'Personal Folder's option?
    Best Regards,

    Luke

    Re: Hide Personal folders? (2003)

I've hardly used IMAP at all, but I suspect the Personal Folders are necessary for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and the other stuff that Outlook does besides email.

Bad things might happen if you delete the Inbox and other mail folders from the PST, but I've never tried it. I suppose you could make a backup and try it out. Once there are no mail folders left, perhaps it will disappear from the "Mail" bar and appear only in the other bars?
