    Growth Percent Formula (Excel 2000)

    I need a formula that will calculate the percent of growth from year to year...one column to the next example: B4 has 1976 and C4 has 2688. What is the percentage of growth from B4 to C4?

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    You can use
    <code>
    =C4/B4-1
    </code>
    or equivalently
    <code>
    =(C4-B4)/B4
    </code>
    Format the cell(s) with the formula as a percentage.
