    You have included the name of the control instead of its value in the string; you have included showmode argument as well. Try this:
    <code>
    Shell "C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIEXPLORE.EXE " & _
    "http://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/dvla_lookup/?page=1&vrn=" & _
    txtRegCheck.text & "&x=28&y=16", vbNormalFocus
    </code>
    I have broken up the very long line into parts, but note that txtRegCheck.text is now outside the quotes.

    Web App (vb6)

    Post edited by StuartR to reduce line length as it caused horizontal scrolling

    The following code is supposed to return a web page with a registration search.
    When the web page opens, the name of the control (txtRegCheck) is returned instead of what is typed into it[ png attached] below.

    <pre>Shell "C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIEXPLORE.EXE _
    http://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/dvl...p;x=28&y=16, _
    vbNormalFocus"
    Unload Me</pre>

    What am I doing wrong here ?
