    Bolding Button Text

    If this is the code I have for buttons on a page, what can I do to get the button text to be *BOLD*?

    <div align="center"><center><form action="mailtoaypal.com?subject=Fund Donation" method="post" enctype="text/plain">
    <table><tr><td>
    </td></tr>

    <tr><td align=center>
    <INPUT TYPE="submit" value="Fund Submission" style="color: #000000; background-color: #ffff00">
    </td></tr></table>
    </FORM>
    </center></div>

    Edited:

    Jerry, I got it...

    <div align="center"><center><form action="index.html">
    <table><tr><td>
    </td></tr>
    <tr><td align=center>
    <button style="background-color:yellow">Return to Beginning of Story</button>
    </td></tr></table>
    </FORM>
    </center></div>

    Thanks for everything...

    Jerry:

    I tried to modify this to call a local page (moreinfo.html) so that I'd keep the button (instead of a straight link) with, of course, the bolded text, but I couldn't get it.

    Is there a way to do it?

    Hi Chuck

    Sorry caught me at bed time last night. You can use javascript for this baby. I have attached the code in a text file but be warned Lex will change the coding slightly. Just follow the instructions he has written at the top of the file <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Now Jerry....

    Are you forgetting who you are dealing with here? I ain't got the foggiest... Knew I shoulda taken that Greek in high school when I had the chance...

    Is (all) that supposed to go in place of the

    <img src=/S/lex.gif border=0 alt=lex width=16 height=16> <!profile=Lex>Lex<!/profile> is the Lounge Lizard, our mascotte. He occasionally pops up in the upper right corner of the Lounge window (hover your mouse pointer over him to see what he says).

    Shame on you! <img src=/S/bif.gif border=0 alt=bif width=70 height=28> Lex is Lex is Lex, everyone knows that. Here I am, working my fingers to the bone, repetitive daily exercises, never resting, always overseeing the lounge, and you claim not to know who I am. <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15>

    IF I had my <img src=/S/wartgun.gif border=0 alt=wartgun width=73 height=24> on me, I'd change <big>you</big> into a butterfly in no time <img src=/S/yep.gif border=0 alt=yep width=15 height=15>

    Ooops, be honoured Chuck, not many Loungers have been spoken to by Lex, let alone been told off, you should be honoured <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Sorry Chuck, I got carried away now place the bold text below between the <head> tags of your page:

    <head>

    <script language="JavaScript">

    function goToURL() { window.location = "moreinfo.html"; }

    </script>

    </head>

    and this

    as you have it:

    <div align="center"><center><form action="index.html">
    <table><tr><td>
    </td></tr>
    <tr><td align=center>
    <button style="background-color:yellow" onClick="goToURL()">Return to Beginning of Story</button>
    </td></tr></table>
    </FORM>
    </center></div>

    Chuck, you probably have simplified your code to make this easier to work on, but it leaves me with a question.

    Your form has an action of index.html. Is that there for a reason, and you want the "Return to Beginning of Story" to do something different?

    If index.html is just a leftover and you simply want to load a page, you could return to using a "submit" button, which has magical properties compared with other types of buttons. This would lead to the following changes to your <form> and <button> tags:

    <code><form action="moreinfo.html" method="get"></code>

    <code><input type="submit" value="Return to Beginning of Story" style="font-weight:bold"></code>

    Listen here, dude, er Lex:

    I've been working like the devil just trying to stay up with all the rest of your minions... You could at least give me an "Atta Boy!"...

    Sides, all I've seen of you in five or so years is bouncing around keeping everybody on their toes... and playing Hide 'n Seek...

    The polite thing would have been to take my coat, offer me a seat and a sip, and give me a pointer or two....

    Geez, manners gone to pot!

    Well, everybody gets one unforgivable sin a year, or so the adage goes....

    Jefferson:

    Now you and Jerry got me all submerged again... I'll take your "question":

    The "story" in fact starts on index.html, the opening page of the site. It seems to work locally...

    Now I'll have to look at all the changes and try to piece it all together... and then I guess I'll come back and "start over"...

    Regards,
    Chuck
