logic if cell is blank (excel 00)

    Hello,
I am having difficultybuilding a logic if statment formula.
What I have is a cell with a drop down list called PCLeadBlend,
if there is selection made in the list then True, If no selection then False
    =IF(PCLeadBlend="",TRUE,FALSE)

the logic always returns True, I think its the ="", i have tried =0 aswell with the same response.

anyone know what is going on?

    Thanks you,

If the expression always returns TRUE, the cell is always blank.
Check carefully that PCLeadBlend refers to the correct cell.

    Hans,

I beleive I found the culprit,

what my workbook does is load dat from a datafile created earlier,
I load the data from the data file into my workbook with the logic of True False.

If i goto PCLeadBlend and hit delete, after the loading is comlete the logic changes, the cell must be getting some value from the loading.

If i made an example workbook it probably would not show what is exactly happening,

    You could use something like:

    =IF(trim(PCLeadBlend)="",FALSE,TRUE)

This would eliminate a cell filled with spaces and indicate the same as a "blank"
