    ListBox (Word XP)

How can I avoid the horizontal scroll bar that appears at the bottom of a list box? None of the items in the list box approach the width of the control, and I'd prefer not to see the scroll bar.
    Thanks,
    Richard Barrett

Take a look at the ColumnWidths property. This is a semicolon-separated list of column widths; the default unit is points (where 72 points = 1 inch), but you can specify in or cm as unit if you prefer.
For a one-column list box, you specify only one number in the ColumnWidths property; if the list box has multiple columns (ColumnCount > 1), you can specify a width for each column (use 0 to hide a column).
The combined width of all columns must not be greater than the Width property of the list box (preferably a little bit less).

Thanks. That's what I thought I should do, but I set the column width to 70 in a list box with a width of 72. When that didn't work, I thought I remembered incorrectly. I've now tried 68, and I don't see a scroll bar.

    Thanks again,
    Richard
