    Can't create a one-to-many relationship (Access 2002 SP3)

I am working on a database for a surgeon who is tracking multiple records of the patients. The key table is that for the Patients, which contains their medical ID number (akin to a Social Security Number) which is the key link to all the other tables. I have tables for Referring Physicians, Diagnoses, Vitals on a particular date, Lab values, Imaging Tables, and Pathology Reports, all tied together with the patient's ID number.

All of the tables other than the Patient table are linked to the Patient table to look up the Patient name and ID number.

The problem: I can establish one-to-many relationships with each of the first five tables and the patient tables. However, despite the similar structure, I cannot establsih a one-to-many relationship between the Patient table and the Image and Pathology Report tables. I have tried reversing the order to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't seem to; the Image and Path tables resolutely refuse to accept anything other than a one-to-one relationship, which is definitely NOT what I want, since this particular doctor often has multiple images (Xrays, cat scans, etc.) and pathology reports, so a one-to-many relationship is appropriate. Anybody have any idea of where I made a mistake in the design of the tables and how to fix this? Thanks!

Is the Patient ID field indexed in the Pathology Report and Image tables? If so, are duplicates allowed?
