Access - Data Access Pages (Access 2003)

I have created data access entry forms for a database we have here at my college. When the page loads up everything is fine except for the fact that the data fields always have some data (usually the first record for the table that corresponds to the data access page) that needs to be cleared for the new record to be entered. I originally deleted all buttons on the navigation bar except for the add, clear and save buttons to prevent users from deleting any existing data. I want those data fields to be empty when the user calls the data access page up. Is there any way to do this?

If you only want to use the DAP to let the user enter new records, set the DataEntry property of the DAP to True.

Open the DAP in design view.
Click on the title bar of the window.
    Activate the Properties window.
    Activate the Data tab.
The DataEntry property should be listed there.
